This, right here folks, is real life. This isn’t about perfect coordinating outfits, makeup and hair, perfect poses or babies that aren’t crying. This is love, newness, perfection, exhaustion, overwhelming emotion. REAL LIFE. It’s all real.
Courtney is an old “friend” of mine. I say that because we originally met through the internet. Now, I’m not some creepy photographer who meets people through the internet. Courtney and I belonged to a mom’s group online together with a bunch of other fabulous mommies. We share a love for graphic design, although, I just do it for fun and Courtney owns her own business Simply Said by Courtney! You should check her out on Facebook. She’s pretty amazing! Anywho, back to the point of this post. Courtney and I have become “in real life friends” and she asked me to come to the hospital and photograph her TWINS when they arrived. I was sooooo excited!
It is such an honor to capture these types of moments for my clients and friends. I was lucky enough to have a hospital session done by my good photographer friend when Keane was born, and I can’t even tell you what those photos mean to me. I look at them often, and they are by far my favorite photos of my son as a newborn. I would encourage everyone to do a session like this. You may not feel like being in photos right after having a baby, but I assure you, you will cherish these photos forever. I promise.
Without further adieu, I introduce Liam Thomas and Avery Rose BOTH weighing in at 6 lbs 11oz. I can’t forget to mention big brother Colin! He’s pretty excited about his new brother and sister.
